2026 Update

Morris County NJ Community Walk

The Tommy Fuss Team’s commitment to suicide prevention remains as strong as ever. The AFSP’s Overnight Walk returns to Chicago this year, the city where the Tommy Fuss Team walked in 2009. While the physical and logistical demands of the event make participation impractical for us in 2026, we remain committed to the AFSP.

We have taken on a leadership role and will participate in the AFSP Morris County NJ Walk on October 10, 2026, continuing our tradition of community engagement and advocacy.

Each year the AFSP NJ Chapter Board recognizes chapter volunteers who go above and beyond the mission of the AFSP.

We are honored that the Tommy Fuss Team was selected for this award among all the dedicated volunteers of suicide prevention in the state of New Jersey.

On December 9, 2025, Valerie and Kristin proudly received the North Star Award for the Out of the Darkness Community Walks on behalf of the Tommy Fuss Team. We are honored to be selected for this award among all the dedicated volunteers of suicide prevention in the state of New Jersey.

Donations to the AFSP Morris County NJ Community Walk can be made to the Tommy Fuss Team by selecting any walker’s photo to be linked directly to their donation page.
